Other IT News – IT Enterprise Systems Update

IT Enterprise Systems has been busy working with a number stakeholders across UNSW. Some major advances over the past few months include

  • The UNSW Housing website was implemented in late February 2009. This is a central website bringing the various independent UNSW accommodation entities including private rental, into a central service website thus enhancing this service to students.
  • With the Music Performance unit, set up of the Australian Ensemble's special website for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal concert
  • Implementation of the Bullseye video site in MyUNSW. Bullseye is part of a suite of Organisation and Staff Development Services products to support the rollout of the UNSW Performance Development scheme for Professional and Technical staff. Having the videos available to all staff has given them a flexible learning alternative.
  • Major enhancements to Budgeting, Forecasting and Management Reporting functions in NSS HR module were delivered in April 2009. These significantly enhance the support offered to HR planning. This included the "Finance Delegation" automation functionality now available through the MyUNSW portal.
The next monthly update will be available in early July. Questions and feedback can be sent to IT Transition Director, Denise Black ext. 53408 or email ictprogram@unsw.edu.au.
