Create a zPass

How to create your own zPass password

If you don't have a zPass you can create your own as follows:

NOTE: you need to enter a z number user ID to access the IDM web site below. If you don't know what a z number is, refer to the About zPass page.

Step 1. Go to the UNSW Identity Manager web site:

- In the User ID field enter your UNSW Staff Number in the form of z1234567 (see this explanation)

- In the Password field enter your current UniPass password.
(If you can't remember your UniPass phone the IT Service Centre on (02) 9385 1333)

If you have logged into UNSW Identity Manager previously, you can hide first time user instructions

Step 2. Agree to the 'Conditions of Use - UNSW ICT Resources. This will only appear the first time you log into the IDM web site.

Step 3. Forgotten Password - Identity Questions

If you are a new user to the IDM Self Service tool you will be asked to answer the following questions. These are used to identify you if you forget your password.

You can change these at a later date if you wish through this IDM interface.
