How to change your zPass

STEP 1. Go to the UNSW Identity Manager web site:

- In the User ID field enter your UNSW Student Number (ie z1234567)

- In the Password field enter your existing zPass password.
(If you can’t remember your zPass, click on the 'Forgot Your Password?' button below the password field).

STEP 2. On the User Accounts section, click the button ‘Change zPass’.

STEP 3. Type a password of your choosing into the ‘New Password’ field.

It is important that you choose a secure password. A secure password is;
- at least 8 characters long,
- contains a mixture of upper and lowercase letters,
- contains at least one numeral (number),
- contains at least one non-alphabetic character (such as ! # $ %)


Re-enter your new password in the '‘Confirm Password' field then click ‘Change Password’.

Step 4. You have now changed your zPass. Click the 'LOGOUT' button to exit your Identity Manager account.

You can test your zPass immediately by re-entering the IDM site by using your zPass in the Password field.
